Vision
& Values
Sustainably delivering clean energy fuel for the future, guided by the values of honesty, respect, accountability, and resilience.
OUR PURPOSE:
To create as much positivity as possible – socially, economically, and environmentally.
Fueling the Future: The Case for Uranium
- Decarbonization
- The provision of power for an increasingly energy intensive world
- Providing energy access and security
No other energy source meets growing demand as reliably and emissions-free as nuclear—it is the linchpin of the energy transition. NexGen's uranium will fuel reactors that deliver clean, dependable power, accelerating the path to net zero. Today, ~440 nuclear reactors generate over 10% of the world's electricity.
To meet three generational goals:
It's just steam.

Rook I Overview

NexGen made the Arrow discovery on the Rook I Project in 2014. It is located in Northern Saskatchewan and is the world's largest single-source deposit of low-cost, high-grade uranium with a minimal footprint. It has the ability to produce up to 30 million lbs of uranium annually - that's nearly 25% of the world's current mine supply.
NexGen will have a profound impact
The Arrow deposit is capable of providing enough carbon-free energy to power up to 46 million homes – approximately one-third of homes in the United States, or the five most populous states of California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Environmental Assessment
In 2024, NexGen achieved a historic regulatory milestone with the successful completion of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) Environmental Assessment (EA) technical review. The CNSC has proposed Commission Hearing dates for November 2025 and February 2026, following which a licensing approval decision for the Project will be rendered by the Commission. Upon approval, NexGen will immediately commence construction.

Historic Benefit Agreements
NexGen has signed Benefit Agreements with all four Indigenous communities local to the Rook I Project. These partnerships with the CRDN, MNS NR2, BNDN, and BRDN demonstrate our industry-leading approach to genuine consultation and engagement to ensure positive generational impact that will extend well beyond mine-dependent opportunities.
Shared Vision, Shared Success
"Since as early as 2013, the Rook I Project has been a platform for both NexGen and CRDN to set a new and elite standard on Indigenous engagement, participation, and partnerships, for projects in the traditional territory of Indigenous peoples. The signing of this IBA formalizes these new standards and provides the CRDN and all its members the opportunities for lifelong, sustainable jobs and business opportunities right in our own backyard. ”
— Chief Teddy Clark of Clearwater River Dene Nation

Shared Vision, Shared Success
“ The Rook I Project is bringing once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and change to our Citizens in NRII. NexGen has shown leadership in the industry, by working with us, and recognizing our voice and our people... We applaud NexGen for its leadership and its respectful and collaborative approach, and we look forward to the development of the Rook I Project. ”
— Leonard Montgrand, MN - S Regional Director for NRII

Shared Vision, Shared Success
"On meeting the regulatory requirements, our community stands to benefit with environmental monitoring, jobs, business opportunities, and payments to support community priorities. NexGen has been working with us in a respectful way. ”
— Chief Jonathan Sylvester of Birch Narrows Dene Nation

Shared Vision, Shared Success
"The jobs and business opportunities that our members will be able to obtain with the Project incorporating elite environmental and cultural practices is very exciting. ”
— Former Chief Elmer Campbell of Buffalo River Dene Nation (from 2018 - 2021)

A Catalyst for Generational Change
NexGen’s disciplined and genuine approach to resource development is demonstrating that responsible uranium production can coexist with environmental and social wellbeing while setting new industry standards for responsible resource development.
NexGen’s vision and values are firmly embedded in all business practices and decision-making processes.

Local Investment,
Lasting Impact
The forecasted total economic impact over the development and production phases of the Rook I Project is $37 billion.
In 2024, 94% of Rook I’s cash expenditure was spent on local vendors, while 82% of the site’s employees were from the LPA. Both values exceed NexGen's ambitious targets, demonstrating an immediate commitment to build local capacity and create meaningful impact.

Impact Beyond the Mine
NexGen is developing businesses that will span beyond the mine and ensure a sustainable economy flourishes for generations to come. Over the Project’s lifespan, NexGen is contributing to building stronger communities for the longer term through community investment. The Company creates initiatives with local community partners to maximize positive sustainable growth.
This approach is exemplified through the establishment of a 100% Indigenous-owned gravel crushing business that is anticipated to bring in an estimated $36M in value in the first three years of construction of the Project.
Recognized for
Community Excellence
In 2024, NexGen's dedication to building strong, resilient communities was recognized through receipt of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX Community Involvement Award. This honour, which is bestowed annually to a business that demonstrates a genuine dedication to making an impact in areas that extend beyond their core business functions, underscores NexGen’s unwavering commitment to fostering positive, lasting relationships, while empowering communities.
Building a Strong Local Workforce
Since 2023, NexGen's expanded workforce training initiatives have provided over 500 local community members with essential technical and workplace skills for careers in uranium mining, including during the construction and operational phases of the Rook I Project.
Investing in the NexGeneration of Leaders
NexGen creates programs and initiatives that are inspiring the next generation of community leaders through innovative partnerships. The Company focuses on health & wellness, goal-setting, and leadership training to support youth in reaching their full potential.

Reclamation in Action
NexGen exercises a proactive approach to reclamation that is continually informed by local Indigenous Groups and communities. The Company sets and maintains environmental standards of excellence in planning and execution that stretch outside the scope of conventional standards.
We are progressively reclaiming, restoring, and revegetating previously disturbed areas, consistent with our approach of always executing work with closure in mind.

"We're changing the world of nuclear – so nuclear can change the world."
